Cultural Preservation & Creativity

RASHI Care Foundation’s Cultural Preservation & Creativity program is dedicated to safeguarding India’s rich intangible cultural heritage while inspiring creativity and innovation in local communities. This initiative ensures that folk music, rituals, oral traditions, and panth practices are documented, celebrated, and transmitted to younger generations.

Our Field Documentation Teams work across regions to record and archive traditional performances, crafts, stories, and community rituals. This ensures that endangered cultural practices are preserved and accessible for future generations. By collaborating with local practitioners, elders, and artists, we maintain authenticity and respect for regional traditions.

RCF also provides Living Heritage Grants to support skilled artisans, musicians, and cultural custodians in training apprentices, conducting workshops, and performing at festivals. This not only strengthens livelihoods but also encourages the active participation of youth in cultural preservation.

Annual cultural festivals and local performances showcase traditional arts and crafts, bringing communities together and generating awareness of local heritage. Workshops and interactive sessions allow participants to experience cultural practices hands-on, fostering pride and appreciation for their cultural identity.

The program emphasizes creative innovation by blending traditional knowledge with contemporary methods to produce educational materials, multimedia content, and collaborative projects. By doing so, RCF nurtures creativity while sustaining cultural continuity. Through this program, Cultural Preservation & Creativity contributes to building resilient communities that value their heritage, engage creatively, and transmit knowledge responsibly—ensuring that India’s diverse cultural tapestry thrives for generations to come.
